  1. I froze the banana overnight and the thickness was noticeable compared to using fresh banana and ice. The almond milk I used was unsweetened vanilla, plenty of sweetness for me without any added sugar. Peak-season strawberries from my market brought the fruit flavour forward.

  2. Four ingredients and it’s a solid one, though for my taste the banana dominates. I pulled back to half a banana and doubled the strawberries, which opened up the fruit flavour I was missing. Still drinks thick with frozen banana. The chia seeds blend right in.

  3. Hi Could you please confirm the amount of coconut milk required as the measurements (ie 1/3 cup or 160ml) are conflicting? Thx heaps!

  5. If you google “how long to soak chia seeds before eating” you find the resulting consensus to be TEN minutes. By doing so the chia seeds then open their nutritional benefits more readily for consumption either for baking or smoothie use.
